Your search will run through the product descriptions in all existing languages. There is no differentiation between capitalization and lower case.
- 3. Alphabetical Search

How to Refine your Search in the Evonik product database
Searching for individual words
Without the use of the wildcard character, or joker (*) the search is conducted precisely for the entered text:
The entry "acrylic" will find the product "acrylic", but will not turn up "methacrylic".
Extending the search with the wildcard character
Please use the * as wildcard character:
"Meth*" will find all the words that start with "meth" e.g. methyl, methanol, methacrylic, etc.
"*chloride" will yield all the words that end with "chloride".
Searching for several terms
Link with "AND"
When entering several terms the search function automatically places an "AND" link.
The entry of "potassium* solution" will show up all products in which "potassium*" AND "solution" appear.
Linking with "OR":
The entry of "potassium* OR solution", will yield all products in which "potassium*" OR "solution" appear (or both terms, of course).
The "NOT" Operator:
The entry of "Potassium* NOT solution" will show you all products in which the "potassium*" is stated, but do not feature the word "solution".
