Customer Award for Degussa Brazil

As the market leader for specialty chemicals, Degussa is represented globally with its products and services. Brazilian customers from the rubber industry have now named the Advanced Fillers & Pigments Business Unit as the best supplier. The Brazilian trade magazine "Borracha Atual" supervised the selection process. This is the fourth time that Degussa has received this award. With 2,764 employees and annual sales of roughly 1.2 billion euros (2005), the Advanced Fillers & Pigments Business Unit is one of Degussa AG's most important strategic segments. Globally, the Business Unit is present at 30 production locations in 18 countries on five continents. Degussa is the only supplier to offer the important product lines carbon black, performance silica and rubber silanes from a single source.

Excellently equipped: Degussa Brazil presented a Renault racing car with Ecorax® fillers at EXPOBOR in Brazil.

This positions the Advanced Fillers & Pigments business unit one of the most powerful system suppliers for manufacturers of coatings, paint and printing inks, as well as for the rubber processing and plastics industries. Ecorax^® fillers feature among this Business Unit's key products, which Degussa Brazil presented at EXPOBOR, the international trade fair for rubber technology, machines and tools, in Sao Paulo at the beginning of May. This new class of carbon blacks offers excellent reinforcement and processing properties with improved abrasion resistance and, above all, considerably reduced heat build-up. Tires with Ecorax^® as filler consequently save fuel and last longer.
