Material Flow Balance 2006

The material flow balance brings together the main environmental data for 2006 and provides an overview of the material flows. Some 9.71 million metric tons of products were produced from about 10.23 million metric tons of raw materials and about 0.54 million metric tons of oxygen (chiefly for the production of hydrogen peroxide). Renewable resources accounted for about 7 percent of total raw materials used in 2006 (2005: 6 percent).
